Wake Up: Why the world has gone nuts By: Piers Morgan

I will begin by saying that I do not agree with everything Morgan believes in.  Most importantly on the 2nd Amendment.  Ironically, we are on the same page when it comes to freedom of speech.  Additionally, we share the same views on the woke society we see today.  Ridiculous woke sentiment such as pronouns, and the offensive word or any word containing "man" (e.g. mankind, woman, human, etc.).  We are becoming the most moronic society on the planet.  We are allowing a small group of loud people define us as people.  I am glad I will not be around in another 80 years to see it devolve even further into the abyss.

Morgan does not understand the American way of doing things.  This is exactly why the 13 colonies of farmers and peasants kicked the crap out of the, at the time unbeatable army.  He is for unlimited lock downs.  I understand that for the anti-Trumpers, his comments about bleach is a godsend.  I can agree that Trump should not think out loud and talk about ideas without being, but I do believe that they are holding him to a different standard.  There ARE different synthetic compounds that COULD have the same affect on something in the body that would not in fact be Clorox Bleach.

He seems to have a fixation on Meghan Markle and Harry and its in the book ad nauseam.  He goes into multiple tirades.  Maybe since I am not British and don't really care about the "Royals" so maybe I am being too critical.

Later in the book he speaks about Adele, the singer and her weight loss.  It only goes to show that you cannot make everyone happy in this society.  "They" "fat-shame" her and then when she loses weight for her health, they shame her again for turning her back on the overweight people.  I am not into the Super Model, super thin look.  I feel a woman should have curves.  Also women have children and put on weight and get stretchmarks for the miracle they performed.  They should not be judged on either having more or less weight.  My opinion is who wants to lay in bed or on (pardon visual) on a pack of bones.  I am not into morbidly obese women either.  I had gastric bypass 6 years ago and lost 150lbs so I know the struggle.... still do.

This is a great book if you are opposed to the ridiculous, moronic "wokeness" that has contaminated our society.  We have not prepared our kids to survive the real world.  These dolts think that by removing racist or perceived racist words from our lexicon that somehow their will be no more racism.  They feel that if you remove any words that offends someone for something that somehow offense will be removed.  It only allows for closeted feelings to be stored away and affect people and no one is going to know.  For instance, I am American but my family is from Cuba.  If there is someone that thinks I am a "wetback" or a "spick" and I remove those words for the lexicon, I am at a disadvantage from knowing who truly hates me.  I would much rather be offended by them calling me something like that and choosing to disassociate from them, than to think they like me when they truly don't.

On George Floyd, he is wrong.  I understand the book was written before the full video was released.  However after watching the video in its "REAL" entirety (not the one Morgan saw at the time of the incident).  There was nothing in the video that showed race being reason for Floyd's death.  However it does show the sadistic negligence by an overzealous police office that did not have concern or the sense to remove his knee from the knee of a criminal.  Floyd was not a saint, he was not an innocent man.  He did not however deserve to die for his crime at least it was not for the police officer to decide that.  Had he committed a crime, tried and found guilty and that crime was found to carry a punishment of death then that is a different story.  The cop was a a-hole and deserves what he has coming.  With that said, the BLM movement had an opportunity to bring more people into their movement but instead chose to alienate more people during a time that there was unanimous support for the movement.  Make you wonder if there was a movement to divide instead of unite people.

Again, I agree with a lot of his views, but also disagree with many things as well.  The beauty of freedom is that I can read his book and agree and disagree but still allow him to exist even if he is not lock-step with me.  I hate that the word "privilege" has been weaponized as have other benign words.  I hope people wake up.  This is not liberalism, it is a new form of fascism, ironically coming from a group that espouse how they are against the very same.

Always a Soldier: Service, Sacrifice, and Coming Out as America's Favorite Black, Gay Republican By: Rob Smith

Interesting book.  I will be honest, I thought this book would be more about his current dealings and coming out as a Republican and Gay, but the book is 90% about his boot camp, Army life and gay relationships.  Still that does not mean the book was not interesting.  It is sad to know that while I was in the Navy, there were people in my ranks that lived in fear of who they were.

Smith is a well-known Conservative spokes person representing Turning Point USA as well as Candice Owen's "BLEXIT" (Black Exodus).  He is outwardly gay man that struggled as a youth with his weight and sexuality.  Before the 2000 elections, I stepped away from the Republican Party, and found my current libertarian mindset that has guided me since then.  The non-aggression principle has been the foundation of my dealings with people since my transformation.  One of the reason I left the Republican Party had to do with their acceptance, or lack thereof, of the gay community.  I had plenty of gay friends that although I disagreed with their lifestyle, they were great people that I could count on more so than some of my straight friends.

I will say that it seems that he wrote the book about his military service and dealing with his sexual orientation and later added the Conservative portion.  But either way, the book is a refreshing view from a former Liberal, current Black and Gay man.  He blows up all the typical stereotypes.  He chapters on the Woke insanity is on point. I truly believe that that movement and the Liberal movement we see today will collapse on itself.  It is impossible to be a “good liberal” unless you log into the wokeness website so you can get your updated offensive words and phrases. The other day read an article saying white males could never be transgender. This tells you where this is going. God have mercy on us all.

I recommend this book.

Breaking Free: How I Escaped Polygamy, the FLDS Cult, and My Father, Warren Jeffs By: Rachel Jeffs

A very disturbing, detailed account of the molestation of this young girl.  If you have a weak stomach, do not read this book.  This man was a disgusting child molester and does not deserve to be on this planet.  I am a staunch 1st amendment kind of person with one caveat, you can practice the religion you wish so long as you do not invade someone else's freedoms and rights.

Warren Steed Jeffs is the President of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a polygamous denomination. In 2011, he was convicted of two felony counts of child sexual assault, for which he is currently serving a life sentence plus twenty years.

I never really followed the "religious" ways of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), however I have read multiple books on Scientology.  Aside from the dogma of one and the lack of dogma from the other, they are very similar from the mental antics side of things (at least this particular sect).  I could never be part of a religious group where there is a single person or persons calling shots that affect my life.

Rachel, the daughter of Warren Jeffs was molested by her father from the age of 6 years old.  This lasted for many years until she was forced to marry into a plural marriage.  Warren Jeffs eventually went to prison for child molestation but not Rachel.  He had done it to other girls and had married underage girls.  Rachel subsequently finds out that her younger sister had been molested as well.  Although Warren Jeffs (The "Profit") was in prison, he continued to rule with an iron fist from inside.  Continuously abusing his followers by false prophecies such as: no more sex with your spouse(s), no talking to your kids,  no more milk, etc.

In 2015, Rachel eventually smartens up and starts to see the hypocrisy from her father and eventually the religion. She eventually gets the courage to leave the church, family and the yolk of her father.  I have children, and I can not fathom not staying in contact with my kids.  My son is in college living in a dorm.  I cannot go a day without hearing from him.  Rachel's husband decided to listen to "The Profit" and not make contact with his kids.  From a twisted type of perspective, I guess he was worried about losing contact with all his other kids from the "sister wives", although he was constantly being sent away by "The Profit".

At 32 years old, Rachel met Brandon, a former FLDS member that also left the church.  Both were nervous to be next to each other.  This was the first time she would have a real "normal" relationship. I wish her the absolute best of luck in the future.  She seems to be a smart, strong woman.

Here is the sick Warren Jeffs with a young Rachel Jeffs

The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense By: Gad Saad

What a fantastic book.  Truly refreshing to read a book by a fellow libertarian thinker.  I wish there was one section of the book that was better than another, but honestly, this book is on point.  I can call out a few memorable chapters which connected with me Chapter 4: Anti-Science, Anti-Science, Anti-Reason and Illiberal Movements, Chapter 6: Departures from Reason: Ostrich Parasitic Syndrome and Chapter 8: Call to Action.

Saad dissects the illiberal mindset and the ridiculous thinking by today’s SJWs.  I truly feel that this mindset will not have longevity due to its illogical and oppositional basis.  I have said this before, to be a good progressive liberal today, it is impossible without getting daily talking points and the victim-hood de’ jour.  The one thing I have seen with these SJWs is that you NEVER see them happy.  They are in an endless, never-ending cycle of anger and victim-hood.  I do not feel these SJWs are prepared for the real world, and as soon as they enter into the real world outside of the coddling universities and the echo-chambers they live in, you will see suicide rates, depression, mental issues (more than what they are experiencing today), as well as violence (more than what we are seeing today).

If you have any doubt, look at the 2020 US Elections.  You have a President, Donald Trump that has been accused of countless things.  Has been investigated time and time again without finding anything of substance.  Was impeached on the most bogus charges ever assembled in an impeachment hearing and the consensus is “Orange Man Bad”.  However you have a President-Elect that single-handedly was responsible for some of the most racist laws passed in this country since Jim Crow, has verifiable and credible accusation of rape, has been seen countless time being inappropriate with young girls, on video admitting to bribing a leader of a foreign government to fire a prosecutor investigating the company his son is a board-member of, his son receiving 3.5 Million from Russians, 1.5 Billion from China (CCP), countless comments about black people, lauding a known former KKK Grand Cyclopes and not a peep.  Literally Joe Biden is everything they wished Trump was (so they could hate him more).  Not to mention the man is in a declining mental cognitive state that a 5-year-old could tell and that does not seem to bother them.  It is literally ludicrous.

I recommend this book and I recommend checking him out on his various guest appearances on the Joe Rogan show.  Do not pass this book up.

Living in Color: What's Funny About Me: Stories from In Living Color By: Tommy Davidson

This book was great. Needed to take a break from politics for a bit. Tommy Davidson has always been a likable guy. I followed his career path since "In Living Color" as I assume most people did. For a while he disappeared from the limelight.

I love reading memoirs and biographies because it gives you a voyeuristic view of their lives. Especially when you remember them, as in this case when Davidson was active in "In Living Color".   As a lot of other famous people, drugs and alcohol became a big part of their lives and Davidson was not different. He admits to having a bad substance abuse problem that affected his relationships.  It's not a far departure given that he was literally found in a garbage pile where he had been abandoned by his biological mother. A White family, found him and took him in, subsequently adopting him. However the father-figure of that white family left his wife, two biological kids and Davidson to join a commune.

Davidson recalls his childhood and not really understanding skin color. In his naive mind as a very young child, he compared his skin color vs his family's to how dogs have different colors of puppies. I really wish we thought that way as adults. More and more, we seem to be self-segregating after all the battles to de-segregate. I guess history does in fact repeat itself.

Today Tommy Davidson enjoys doing charity work, doing voice work and more importantly, sobriety.  I was happy to read that he is currently doing well and is in a good place. I think he is immensely talented and hope to see (and hear) him for a long time to come. He seems like a really good guy.

The book not only shines a light on Davidson but also on his contemporaries.  Great names such as Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Jim Carry, Adam Sandler and many, many more.  I recommend this book if you enjoy memoir.  I am glad we did not lose him as so many others we have lost.

Congrats on sobriety Tommy.  Keep up the good work.

The Cost: Trump, China, and American Revival By: Maria Bartiromo and James Freeman

Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo is probably the only show I will watch on Fox.  A very smart host from a financial perspective, she is also

a damn fine journalist.  Bartiromo covers the Trump administration but focuses on the threat of China and the attempted coup of a duly elected President.

As I write this review, Joe Biden has been coronated  the President Elect for 2020 election by the media.  As is the typical MO, the Left and the State-Run (Left) Media, tells you, "There is nothing to look at here, move along".  Anyone who states anything different from the media agreed upon talking points, is instantly banished from the "acceptable social person" category and considered "deplorable".  This coming from the same people that pushed a fake Russia collusion, impeachment, obstruction, racist, xenophobic narrative for four years with impunity.  We have sadly seen a corruption of the media and social media companies during Trump's last year.  Although 2020 has been the worst year of my entire life, and although we saw unprecedented questionable actions by our state and city governments, that anyone, and I mean ANYONE, regardless of party affiliation should worry about.  Additionally, we have seen reports of voting machines of which run particular software where high ranking Democratic Party Senators, Congresspersons, and political mouthpieces for the left have significant others and family as the executives and investors into the same.  I find it interesting how the left in the U.S. say that Voter ID is racist.  However I was speaking to a friend in Jamaica where it is predominantly Black people, they have to apply for a specific voter ID, different from your other IDs.  How is this NOT racist there?  Arguably, there is more poor poverty there than here in the US.

The China situation is real.  They are a huge threat to our country.  The destabilization in the U.S. caused by this political unrest  puts us at risk.  China does not want Trump in the WH for a second term because he is the ONLY POTUS that has put the needed pressure on them.  They know for sure that a Biden administration would be a walk in the park and they could go back to their previous S.O.P. which included Intellectual Property theft, holding the U.S. hostage with manufacturing all of our goods, the funding of projects for other countries knowing they would be unable to repay, seizing  control of shipping lanes which do not belong to them.  The threat is very real and to see Mr. Biden's nonchalant attitude about China not being a threat is appalling and disturbing.  He is either clueless or complicit, either one is bad, but I believe he is both.

Some of the information is repetitive for anyone that has been following the TDS this past four years.  How the FBI higher-ups colluded  and conspired with the Obama administration and other prominent three letter agencies to perform a coup, ironically today the left accuse Trump of attempting a coup  because he is contesting the outcome.  However, Hillary Clinton is on record telling Biden NOT to concede at all.   I believe the left has come after Trump with such vengeance because he is not your typical politician.  This man does not care about politics insofar as he is POTUS.  He has outed them.   They obviously do not want to face the consequences.   The media will tell you there is not evidence however time and time again, the former CIA director, FBI Director and others at that level have come out on the media saying they have seen evidence and did not know about this or that, but while under oath and with the fear of purging themselves they say the complete opposite.  If those who choose to NOT believe what the Right is saying about this, review the transcripts for yourself.

Bartiromo is a very effective reporter and is well connected both in Financial circles as well as the political ones. I recommend this book.

The Problem with Lincoln By: Thomas DiLorenzo

Let me start by saying that ANY negative book about Lincoln is considered blasphemy to the Lincoln lovers.  Lincoln is an interesting man, not so much for positive things he did but more for how he is claimed by both political parties here in the US as well as, ironically, tyrants of the rest of the world.

The Republicans love to claim Lincoln as their way of proving they are not racist and the Democrats need to keep Lincoln as a savior since they claim, falsely that the two parties swapped.  The problem runs much deeper.  There are many "dismissed" issues of what Lincoln did that are the third-rail for the Lincoln Lovers.  Such as the letter he wrote to Horace Greeley

I would save the Union. I would save it the shortest way under the Constitution. The sooner the national authority can be restored; the nearer the Union will be "the Union as it was." If there be those who would not save the Union, unless they could at the same time save slavery, I do not agree with them. If there be those who would not save the Union unless they could at the same time destroy slavery, I do not agree with them. My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause. I shall try to correct errors when shown to be errors; and I shall adopt new views so fast as they shall appear to be true views.

It is clear to anyone during cursory research that the "Civil War" was in fact NOT fought to end slavery.  Lincoln clearly did not care one-way or the other about slavery.  Slavery was a tool for Lincoln to cover up his tyrannical ways of governing.  Here is the rub:

  • Lincoln allowed slavery in 4 States during the "War to End Slavery"  Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri and the newly, unlawfully created West Virginia.
  • Suspension of Habeas Corpus
  • Either invaded and attacked his own country men if they were still part of the Union or was an invader to the South and declared total war.  It can't be both.  One is treason and the other is a war crime.
  • Declared total war on citizens that had nothing to do with the war save that they lived in the South.
  • Supported, upheld and enforced the Fugitive Slave Act.

There are so many more examples.  However I WILL say that the slaves' plight was advanced in fact because of those moves Lincoln made regardless of WHY he did them.

I understand that Lincoln Lovers think badly about Mr. DiLorenzo.  You can absolutely disagree with him, but if you look at the facts, they are true.

Sadly our history is being re-written to support the victim mindset and as we all know, history repeats itself.  I would rather have books, statues, songs, movies, et al reminding us of how abhorrent slavery was and where we have come.  A read a book by Adam Corrola and in it, he talks about the "Progressive" movement.  He uses the analogy of smoking in a restaurant.  You use to be able to smoke in a restaurant.  Then there was a smoking and non-smoking section, then they said you can only smoke by the bar, then they said you had to smoke outside, then they said you were too close to the entrance and you had to walk down the street.  It reminds my of this great country or what was once a great country.  Sadly the US has become a Banana Republic where corruption reins supreme.  We now have voter fraud (you can say no, but we all have seen the videos), state run media where they cover for one party and lie about the other, and a social media that crushes free speech.  The saddest thing about it, is that there is no putting that genie back in the bottle.
